Connect OBS Studio to SmartPanel for scene switching, source control, and streaming management.

Prerequisites

• OBS Studio 28 or newer (WebSocket server is built in from version 28)
• WebSocket server password (set in OBS settings)

Enabling WebSocket in OBS

1. Open OBS Studio
2. Go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings
3. Check Enable WebSocket Server
4. Set a port (default: 4455) and optionally set a password
5. Click Apply

Connecting in SmartPanel

1. Go to Smart Connect and click + Add Integration
2. Select OBS Studio as the type
3. Enter a name (e.g., "Studio OBS")
4. Choose your connection mode:
   • Direct — If OBS is on the same machine or local network. Enter the host (e.g., localhost) and port (default: 4455)
   • Middleware — If OBS is on a remote machine. Select your SmartPanel Middleware instance
5. Enter the WebSocket password (if set in OBS)
6. Click Test Connection to verify, then Save

Once connected, you can trigger these from Smart Control buttons or Action Sequences:

• Scene switch — Change the active OBS scene
