Creating a new rundown

A Rundown is the plan for one broadcast, and it lives inside a Show. One Show can hold as many Rundowns as you need — typically one per air date.

How to create a rundown

Go to Rundown in the sidebar.
Click New Rundown.
Pick the Team and the Show it belongs to.
Enter a Rundown Name — dated names are easiest to find later ("Evening News — Monday Nov 14").
Choose when to start (see below).
Click Create Rundown.

Your rundown starts in Draft. You can now add segments, stories and elements.

Mode	What it does
Live Now	No scheduled time. You arm it with Mark ready and start it with Go Live when you are ready.
Schedule	A date and time. The rundown arms itself about 5 minutes before air and starts on its own.
Repeat	A first run plus an interval — set in hours, minutes and seconds — with an optional end date.
Timeslot	Each segment carries its own air date and time, set inside the rundown. Segments without a time ride with the one above them. For resident rundowns that run all day against a clock.

Open Edit rundown to change:

Name, description, date and time
When to start — switch between Live Now, Schedule, Repeat and Timeslot
Loop — repeat the rundown from the top after the last element, without ending the run
Semi-auto mode — the show runs on its own but pauses at the end of every segment until you press GO
Enable Smart Control — expose this rundown to the Smart Control panel

Use clear, dated names — the Rundowns list is sorted and filtered by name, status and date.
