What is Smart Connect?

Smart Connect is the integrations hub where you manage all external connections between SmartPanel and your production tools.

What it does

Smart Connect lets you connect SmartPanel to graphics engines (Viz Flowics, Singular.live), production software (OBS Studio, vMix, CasparCG, Meld Studio), streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Kick), and any HTTP-based API. Once connected, these integrations can be used in Smart Control buttons, Smart Rundown Elements, and Action Sequences.

Connection modes

Direct — Your browser talks directly to the external API. Works for cloud services and local software on the same network.
Edge Function — SmartPanel's server acts as a proxy for APIs that block direct browser calls.
Middleware — Commands route through the SmartPanel Middleware app for local software like OBS or vMix on a remote machine.

Credential security

All API keys and tokens are encrypted at rest. They are never exposed in execution logs — sensitive values are automatically masked.
