A Show is the top-level container in SmartPanel. Everything you need for a broadcast, event, or recurring program lives inside a Show.

| Section | Module | What you create here |
|---|---|---|
| 🎨 Graphics | Smart Graphics | Overlays and packages — lower thirds, tickers, scoreboards, full-screen slates |
| 🎮 Control Panels | Smart Control | Button panels to trigger graphics live, and Action Sequences |
| 📋 Rundowns | Smart Rundown | Show plans with Segments, Stories and Elements, with timing and automated execution |
| 🎙️ Spaces | Smart Talk | Voice channels for the production crew |
<aside> ⚠️
A Show is not a Rundown. The Show is the container; a Rundown is the plan for one broadcast and lives inside it. One Show can hold many Rundowns — typically one per air date. Every Rundown belongs to a Show, but a Show can exist with no Rundowns at all if you only use Graphics and Control.

| Scenario | Recommended approach |
|---|---|
| Weekly news program | One Show, one Rundown per episode |
| Sports league | One Show per match, or one per season with a Rundown per match |
| Corporate event | One Show with its own graphics, control panels and rundown |
| Streaming channel | One Show as your main workspace |
Shows have an Active / Inactive toggle that affects your subscription quota.
| Status | Counts toward quota? | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Active | Yes | Its resources are available for live use. |
| ⚪ Inactive | No | Archived in practice, but nothing is lost. Reactivate at any time. |
Check your active Shows limit in Company Settings → Plan and Billing.
Note that individual resources have their own active state too. A Rundown counts against your quota when it is in Ready or Live — the statuses in which it can actually go to air.
From the Shows list you can Activate / Deactivate, Clone, Archive or Move to Team. Filters let you see Active, Archived, Templates and Trash.
You can also Copy to or Move to individual resources between Shows — useful for reusing a control layout or a story across productions.

Tip: Name your Shows clearly (e.g., "UEFA Final 2026" or "Morning News S3") so your team can find the right one instantly during setup.
